What Personal Care & Daily Living Support Can Include

Support is always guided by the participant’s goals, abilities and preferences. This may include:

Social & Recreational Activities

Meal preparation and basic cooking
Assistance with eating and drinking
Support with household routines
Light domestic tasks related to daily living
Establishing daily structure and routines

Community Participation

Assistance with showering, bathing and personal hygiene
Dressing and grooming
Toileting and continence support
Menstrual care support
Assistance with transfers and mobility (where required)

Health & Wellbeing Support

Medication prompts (within support worker scope)
Monitoring general wellbeing
Following care plans, behavior support plans and health guidance
Supporting safe hydration and nutrition

Short daily visits
Regular scheduled shifts
Morning and evening routines
Overnight support (where funded)
